On Nov. 12, Park posted on social media for the first time in six months, writing, “I agonized over whether to go on the show―and whether to wear a wig.”
“Everyone’s been so curious and worried, so I mustered up the courage to film. This is my one and only schedule this year,” she added. “I chatted about a lot of things on 'You Quiz on the Block' today, but because it’s been a while, I’m a little nervous. Thank you to everyone who’s been concerned.”
Earlier this year, Park was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer during a routine checkup and halted all broadcast activities. She has completed radiation therapy and is currently undergoing medication treatment.
Park appears on tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block' airing today, where she shares an update on her health and life.
In the teaser, host Yoo Jae-suk introduces her as “our Park Mi-sun, back looking healthy,” and Park draws attention with a close-cropped hairstyle. “There’s been so much fake news, so I came on 'You Quiz on the Block' to let people know I’m okay,” she explains of her decision to appear.
True to her comedy roots, Park keeps the mood light with Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho, trading jokes and big laughs. Then Yoo gently asks about her health journey: “No one was more shocked than you, right?”
“I had an outdoor shoot booked and thought, ‘I’ll do that and then start radiation,’ but when they opened me up… this is the first time I’m saying this,” Park says, hinting she’ll share more on the show.
Referring to her short haircut, she jokes, “When I shaved it, I said, ‘Hey, don’t I look like Furiosa?’” When the hosts hesitate to react, she reassures them with a smile: “It’s okay to laugh.” The teaser ends with Park moved to tears as she watches a surprise video message sent to her.
