[SBS Star] ITZY CHAERYEONG Says, "I Expected Something Like Girls' Generation, But..."

CHAERYEONG of K-pop girl group ITZY said that ITZY's concept was completely different from what she expected a girl group would be.

On September 7 episode of MBC's talk show 'Radio Star', CHAERYEONG made a guest appearance.

During the show, CHAERYEONG shared that her group ITZY's concept was the complete opposite of the one she had imagined a girl group would be like.
CHAERYEONG said, "I always dreamed of becoming a member of a girl group, but the image I have when I think of a girl group was Girls' Generation."

She continued, "When I joined ITZY, I was asked to make playful facial expressions. I wasn't able to do such things. I'm still fighting against myself."
CHAERYEONG debuted as a member of JYP Entertainment's 5-member girl group ITZY on February 12, 2019.

The group is best known for its girl crush concepts including 'MAFIA In the Morning', 'WANNABE', 'LOCO', and more.
