It has just been revealed that K-pop boy group BTS' leader RM donated a great amount of money to an art foundation.
On September 14, the art foundation of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art shared that RM donated 100 million won (approximately 84,000 dollars) to the foundation two days earlier.
The foundation revealed that the donation will be used to distribute 4,000 art catalogs of leading Korean contemporary art masters to 400 public schools and school libraries in Korea.
According to the foundation, RM said he hoped to encourage a culture of reading art books and nurture artistic sensibilities among young generation.
The head of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art said, "RM expressed his wish for young students who have difficulties accessing to art galleries to get better understanding of art through books."
He continued, "We were very pleased and surprised about that. With the help of RM, we'll spread the goodness of reading art books."
RM makes regular visits to art galleries even when he is busy, and this donation once again showed his interest and love for the art community.
