On October 25, Park Seo Jun awarded the 'Best New Male Actor' at the '54th Dae Jong Film Awards' with his recent movie 'Midnight Runners'.
During his acceptance speech, Park Seo Jun shared about his past experience and expressed his gratitude to the fans.
Park Seo Jun said, "I didn't prepare an acceptance speech as I never thought about winning this award. I received utmost love and support this year thanks to 'Midnight Runners'. The movie isn't only mine, so I feel bad accepting this meaningful award (all by myself)."
He continued, "I think that Korean film industry have advanced a lot, with all the amazing films produced by the senior actors/directors who are sitting in front of me right now. Most importantly, I want to express my gratitude to all the audiences who continue to watch Korean movies in theaters. I will try my best to consistently improve my acting."
He said, "Shortly after my debut, I heard from a lot of people saying, 'How come a person who looks like you, who has a personality like you could be and actor?'. But I think time has changed in a good way. I want to say thank you to my parents for letting me live in this generation, and to my fans for their consistent love and support. Thank you so much."
Meanwhile, the '54th Dae Jong Film Awards' took place at the Sejong Center, Seoul and the film 'A Taxi Driver' won 'Best Picture' award this year.
