Han Byung-do, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated regarding the "special counsel bill on allegations of fabricated indictments," "Even after the bill is processed, I will do everything in my power to ensure that the true nature and bare face of the politicized prosecution are clearly revealed."
At a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly today (November 6), Floor Leader Han emphasized, "The special counsel bill to be handled at today's plenary session is intended to clearly uncover the truth behind allegations of fabricated investigations and fabricated indictments during the Yoon Suk Yeol administration and bring them to justice."
He criticized, "We removed from the bill not only the authority to withdraw indictments, which the People Power Party has continuously taken issue with, but also the authority to request case transfers," adding, "The People Power Party is ignoring the revised contents of the bill and making far-fetched claims, shouting only about withdrawing indictments."
Regarding the People Power Party's plan to wage an off-floor struggle to rally public opinion against the special counsel bill on allegations of fabricated indictments, he pointed out, "An off-floor struggle ahead of the parliamentary audit, and an off-floor struggle during the budget review—when on earth do you plan to raise the cows? At this point, it is nothing less than a slowdown in parliamentary activity."
He then urged, "The People Power Party should halt its irresponsible political struggle even now and fulfill its responsibilities in the National Assembly as the main opposition party."
