Nana, an actor and former member of the group After School, has spoken out with a candid and firm response regarding the influx of malicious comments following her public relationship with T.O.P, formerly of BIGBANG.
On the 5th, Nana posted a lengthy message on her personal social media, stating, "For 17 years, every single moment, I have done my work with sincerity and done my absolute best."

Nana expressed her frustration, saying, "I want to say this to those who call themselves fans while intentionally writing malicious posts that ignore my choices and freedom simply because of my admission of a relationship. What great wrong did I do? What harm did I cause you? Did I cause a moral controversy?"
She went on to take a firm stance, stating, "To be clear, my dating life is my personal privacy and my life. I don't think it's something I need to feel sorry about."
She added, "The only thing I am sorry about is causing those who were not even the real fans I consider them to be—those who shouldn't have had to hear, see, or feel such words of criticism and hurt because of me—to suffer. Please do not hurt even the fans who love and respect Nana as a human being, beyond the mold of a celebrity. Please don't cause any more harm."
Previously, Nana and T.O.P officially acknowledged their relationship last month. When dating rumors were raised, agencies on both sides admitted to them swiftly in less than an hour, announcing the birth of an official celebrity couple. The two first met early this year through the filming of the music video for T.O.P's solo album title track "DOOM DADA", continued their friendship, and developed into romantic partners around June of this year.
However, concerns followed regarding the two stars' relationship due to T.O.P's past controversies, including his marijuana use and rolling back his retirement from the entertainment industry. Recently, backlash spread after it was reported that Nana accompanied T.O.P to his birthday café event held amid conflicts with his fandom, drawing criticism from some netizens that crossed the line and causing public dismay.
