Harry Kane (33), the winner of the 2026 Ballon d'Or, has signed a contract extension with his club Bayern Munich (Germany) until 2029.
Bayern Munich announced through its official website on the 6th (Korea time), "We have renewed our contract with Kane until June 30, 2029," adding, "Kane, who has scored 156 goals in 161 official matches, became the world's best player by winning the Ballon d'Or last week."
While the exact terms of Kane's contract were not disclosed, the sports outlet The Athletic reported, "In terms of base salary alone, it is not only the highest in the history of Bayern Munich but also the highest in the European stage."
Having left Tottenham Hotspur (England) to join Munich in the summer of 2023, Kane has lifted five trophies: two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal title, and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups.
Kane received the European Golden Shoe, awarded to Europe's top scorer, in the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 seasons, and finally tasted the glory of being selected as the 2026 Ballon d'Or winner for the first time in his life.
Since joining Munich, Kane has poured in 156 goals in 161 official matches. In the Bundesliga alone, he has showcased an astonishing scoring rate of "one goal per game," netting 102 goals in 102 appearances.
Through the club's website, Kane shared his thoughts, saying, "I love the club, the fans, and the city of Munich. I am extremely proud to be part of this club," and adding, "I desperately wanted to stay in Munich, and now I want to lift even more trophies."
