Here is the global market update.

First, let's look at the New York stock market.

The three major U.S. stock indices erased all of the previous day's gains and plummeted across the board.

The Nasdaq and S&P 500 fell by 4% to 5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by more than 3%.

As all sectors showed weakness, tech stocks plunged over 7% amid concentrated concerns over AI infrastructure regulations, while industrial stocks also fell more than 4%, leading the downward trend.

Today (November 6), selling pressure poured into the New York stock market, centered on semiconductor stocks, as concerns spread over tightening regulations on AI data centers following the U.S. midterm elections.

With the Democratic Party securing control of both the Senate and the House, alongside the election of candidates favorable to construction regulations in major data center hub regions, concerns grew that the expansion of AI infrastructure investment could face roadblocks.

In particular, forecasts that demand for semiconductors and power equipment could slow down if the construction of new data centers is delayed led to a spread of selling pressure across tech stocks overall.

U.S. Treasury yields declined amid a preference for safe-haven assets, but this failed to calm the instability in the stock market.

Next, let's look at the U.S. futures market that closed a short while ago.

Concentrated selling of semiconductors and tech stocks due to concerns over AI data center regulations acted as a burden on major stock index futures as well.

U.S. stock index futures closed lower.

Dow futures and Nasdaq 100 futures showed weakness, dropping by around 2,000 points.

Dow futures closed around the 51,300 level.

Nasdaq 100 futures traded around the 26,600 level.

S&P 500 futures fell by more than 300 points to record the 7,300 level.

Russell 2000 futures, centered on small and medium-sized stocks, dropped by more than 100 points to close around the 2,700 level.

In the U.S. Treasury market, attention is focused on the Federal Reserve's monetary policy path and future moves ahead of the employment report to be released tonight.

Meanwhile, the 10-year U.S. Treasury futures recorded 4.848%.

In the commodity futures market, crude oil futures traded around the 91 dollars per barrel level.

International oil prices appear to be experiencing increased volatility as expectations of an end to the war in the Middle East clash with uncertainties surrounding the conflict.

Gold futures recorded 4,097 dollars per ounce.

For gold, safe-haven demand stemming from the stock market crash acted as a major variable.

Lastly, here are the trends for major U.S. stock futures.

Tesla showed a 10% weakness in regular trading as selling pressure across growth stocks overlapped with regulatory uncertainties.

Tesla futures also plummeted by 11%.

That concludes our look at the CME futures market.
