Strong cold winds are blowing, bringing an early winter chill that is expected to last through the weekend.

Seoul currently starts the day with a temperature of 6.8°C (44°F).

Even during the daytime today (November 6), the high will only reach 9°C (48°F), about 10°C lower than yesterday afternoon, making it chilly all day long.

Tomorrow morning, which marks Ipdong (the beginning of winter), temperatures will drop to -1°C (30°F), marking the coldest morning this autumn.

You will need to bundle up thoroughly.

Strong winds will sweep across the entire country today as well.

In particular, gusty winds are expected in some coastal areas and the mountainous regions of Gangwon Province, where strong wind advisories are currently in effect, and waves will run very high across most distant seas.

Skies nationwide will be clear today.

Along with the strong winds, the atmosphere will also be dry in the Gangwon Yeongdong region, requiring strict attention to fire safety.

Current temperatures show Hongseong at 7.1°C (45°F).

Today's daytime highs will peak at only 10°C (50°F) in Chuncheon and 11°C (52°F) in Daejeon.

Light rain is expected in the central regions on Sunday, and the chilly weather compared to typical years will continue until early next week.
