The men's professional volleyball team Hyundai Capital defeated their archrivals Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance to claim their first win of the season.

In an away match of the HK Heungkuk Financial 2026-2027 V-League season held at Chungmu Gymnasium in Daejeon, Hyundai Capital edged out Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance with a set score of 3-1, propelled by their "clutch solver" Huh Soo-bong.

With this result, both Hyundai Capital and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance hold a record of 1 win and 1 loss.

The firepower of both teams' main attackers blazed throughout the match.

The performance of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's foreign duo caught attention early on.

After losing the first set due to consecutive errors in deuce by 212-cm left-handed attacker Felipe Roque from Brazil and Chinese national team outside hitter Wang Bin, the pair combined for 15 points in the second set to level the match.

Then, Hyundai Capital's veteran attacker Leo and Huh Soo-bong counterattacked in the third set.

The two combined for 16 points, scoring 8 points each, putting pressure on Roque and Wang Bin.

The attack success rate of Leo and Huh Soo-bong in the third set soared past an impressive 67%.

The fourth set heated up until the very end with a showdown between Roque and Huh Soo-bong. At 23-23, Huh Soo-bong secured consecutive back-attack points to claim victory in the duel, bringing the match to a close with Hyundai Capital's win.

Huh Soo-bong scored 26 points and Leo added 21 points, jointly leading the team to victory.

Hyundai Capital overwhelmed Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance in blocking with an 11-5 margin.

While Roque (30 points) and Wang Bin (19 points) played their parts well, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance lacked sufficient support from other players.

In the women's division match held at the Jeonnam Gwangju SOOP Stadium, Korea Expressway Corporation defeated SOOP 3-1.

Manager Kim Young-rae, who shed his interim tag just before the opening of the season to become the permanent head manager, suffered a shutout loss to GS Caltex in the opening match on October 31, but tasted the thrill of his first victory as head coach on this day.

Proven V-League attacker Moma spearheaded Expressway Corporation's scoring by exploding for 25 points.
