At around 2:20 p.m. today (November 4), a worker in his 60s was buried under collapsed soil near an apartment construction site in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, and was rushed to the hospital in cardiac arrest.

According to police and fire authorities, a witness reported at the time that soil had collapsed at a sewage pipeline construction site, trapping a person underneath.

Police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident and whether safety regulations were followed.
