▲ Cheong Wa Dae on November 4 released scenes from the filming of "The President's Y," a new YouTube program featuring President Lee Jae-myung.
Cheong Wa Dae announced that it will launch a new program in which President Lee Jae-myung communicates directly with the public through YouTube content.
Sung Ki-hong, Senior Secretary to the President for Public Communication, introduced the launch of the YouTube show "The President's Y" today (November 4), saying, "We will unveil a new YouTube program to communicate directly with the people."
Sung added, "President Lee has held 23 press conferences and media briefings since taking office, and has routinely communicated with the public via social media," explaining, "Going a step further, this program was created to answer questions from the public and explain policies through YouTube, a new media platform."
President Lee wrapped up the first shoot today (November 4), and the edited recording is scheduled to be released on the YouTube channel tomorrow (November 5) at 9 p.m.
Each episode will run for about 30 minutes, and the presidential office plans to continue regular communication every two to three weeks unless there are special circumstances, such as overseas trips.
Senior Secretary Sung said, "Considering the characteristics of the YouTube platform, unlike formal speeches or remarks made at official meetings, he plans to express his thoughts as candidly as possible in everyday language in a comfortable atmosphere and answer questions from the public."
