At around 1:50 p.m. today (November 4), a 1.8-liter bottle of edible glacial acetic acid displayed at a mart in Jeungpyeong-eup, Jeungpyeong-gun, North Chungcheong Province, fell to the floor, causing its contents to leak out.

As a result, two of the six customers inside the mart complained of pain, such as stinging eyes, and received treatment at the scene.

Following the accident, Jeungpyeong-gun issued an emergency alert via text message, urging, "Customers inside the store should immediately evacuate to a safe place outside the building, and nearby residents and passing vehicles are requested to detour."

Authorities believe a customer accidentally dropped the glacial acetic acid and are investigating the exact cause of the accident and the extent of the damage.
