The Incheon Fisheries Resources Research Institute announced today (November 4) that it has developed and officially launched a mobile application called 'Incheon Fishery Information,' which allows users to check fishery boundaries and operation-related information in Incheon waters on Google Play.

The app was developed based on V-World, a spatial information platform by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, so that fishers can instantly check their locations at sea, fishery boundaries, and restricted fishing zones.

As of October, users can view 618 licensed fishing grounds along with 26 types of spatial information related to fishing ports, artificial reefs, and fishing operations, as well as weather, tide, and water temperature information all on one screen.

An official from Incheon City said, "We will continuously improve the app's features to help enhance the convenience and safety of fishers' operations."
