The city of Incheon announced today (Nov. 4) that it has requested the National Assembly to reflect state funds for Incheon's pending projects ahead of the parliamentary review of next year's government budget proposal.
The state funding requested by the city for cooperation from the National Assembly totals 12 projects—including KRW 49 billion for supporting the reorganization and operation of Incheon's administrative system, KRW 11.2 billion for Incheon M-bus support, an increase of KRW 25.9 billion for local currency love gift certificates, KRW 6 billion for a demonstration of artificial intelligence-based greenhouse gas reduction in the transportation sector, and KRW 1.8 billion for remodeling facilities at the Incheon Football Stadium. This represents a KRW 130.9 billion increase compared to the budget proposal submitted by the government.
The city plans to operate a "Government Budget Securing Situation Room" at its Central Cooperation Headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and maintain close cooperation with the National Assembly and related organizations until next year's government budget is finalized.
Previously, the government budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly in September reflected KRW 7.0863 trillion in national government subsidies for Incheon City, marking the largest scale ever.
