Actor Kim Jaewon shared his thoughts on why fans show him so much love as a music show host.
During an interview held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul on the afternoon of November 3 to commemorate the release of "Final Interview," Kim Jaewon expressed his satisfaction with serving as a host on "Music Bank," remarking, "Regardless of the medium—whether it's films, dramas, or series—I think I enjoy showing that I work hard and receiving applause for it."
He continued, "Acting is presented to the audience after passing through the editing phase, but since 'Music Bank' is a live broadcast, facial expressions seem to show in real time. It is a music program, and I believe the host shouldn't let the energy drop, so I also raise the tone of my voice while hosting. I feel the best thing I can do for fans is to give my all. Perhaps that is why once 'Music Bank' is over and I go home, I completely crash."
The dances he showcases while hosting "Music Bank" have also been receiving significant love as they spread across Reels and Shorts. Addressing this, Kim Jaewon smiled and said, "I think some people look upon it favorably, thinking, 'He doesn't hold back.' Rather than the dancing itself, I feel they appreciate the passion. Whenever Reels or Shorts pop up, I check them out, but I am still a bit embarrassed to see myself dancing. Fans seem to prefer when I am clumsy rather than when I dance well. While you can be clumsy when dancing, I believe you should never be clumsy when acting."
Kim Jaewon's big-screen debut film "Final Interview" depicts the story of six applicants gathered in a final interview room who begin to suspect one another and descend into chaos after discovering mysterious envelopes containing their respective exposés. In the project, Kim Jaewon portrays Han Jin-woo, a good-natured and diligent job seeker.
The film is set to be released on November 4.
