The national youth club volleyball tournament, hosted by the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) since 2013 to foster a youth volleyball club culture and expand its base, has concluded in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.
This tournament was designed to provide young players across the country with opportunities to gain practical match experience and foster their interest and affection for volleyball.
Co-hosted by the federation and the Jecheon City Volleyball Association, this year's tournament took place from October 28 to November 1 across four gymnasiums in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, including Jecheon Middle School, Jecheon Girls' Middle School, Eerim Elementary School, and Namcheon Elementary School.
A total of 76 teams and approximately 1,200 participants competed in five divisions: the elementary mid-grade co-ed division (grades 3 and 4), the elementary high-grade boys' and girls' divisions (grades 5 and 6), and the middle school boys' and girls' divisions.
To help players focus on the tournament, the federation provided financial support for accommodation and meals, including transportation expenses.
It also supplied game equipment, such as match uniforms and knee pads, to teams belonging to the KOVO Youth Volleyball Class.
Meanwhile, in the middle school divisions of this tournament, Daejeon SVA won the boys' title, while Haman Girls' Middle School claimed the girls' title.
In the elementary divisions, Hwaseong Hyohaeng Elementary School reached the top of the mid-grade division, while Jinju Geumho Elementary School and Gyeongsan Pyeongsan Elementary School won the high-grade boys' and girls' divisions, respectively.
