A gigantic pillar surges up above the sea.

It looks as though something mystical is ascending from the depths of the ocean toward the sky.

This scene was captured off the coast of Shikokuchuo, Japan.

In late October, a funnel-shaped cloud was witnessed stretching long down toward the sea.

It seems to connect the sky and the sea into one, and is presumed to have been caused by a strong rotating air current.

The mystery crafted by Mother Nature naturally draws a sense of awe.
