On the November 2 broadcast of SBS's "The Ballad of Us Season 2," Han Roy and Park Ye-seung faced off in a 1-on-1 battle.

On this day, Park Ye-seung stepped onto the stage with a visibly tense face following Han Roy's widely praised performance.

When Park Ye-seung selected Roy Kim's "If You Ask Me What Love Is," his father's favorite song, Cha Tae-hyun expressed concern, remarking, "He seems stiffer than in the previous round."

Having previously taken first place with a perfect score of 150 votes, Park Ye-seung naturally felt burdened by the immense expectations placed on him, leaving him understandably nervous.

Park Ye-seung drew attention by sharing that his father, who served in the Marine Corps like Roy Kim, is a fan of the artist: "He told me that listening to this song reminds him of the time he spent with me. He said, 'If you ask me what love is, it's you, Ye-seung.'"

Park Ye-seung continued, "In return for my dad's feelings, I wanted to answer that I grew up well thanks to him, and that if someone asks me what love is, it's my dad, which is why I chose this song."

As expected, Park Ye-seung delivered an explosive performance. Roy Kim, the original singer, marveled, "He's a monster, a true monster." Praising the soaring high notes, he added, "This song is difficult to sing naturally. But he delivered a monstrous vocal performance that went far beyond that concern."

Jung Seung-hwan also expressed his admiration, saying, "The natural quality of his tone is unmatched. It was a performance that proved potential waiting to blossom even further."

Meanwhile, Park Ye-seung shocked everyone on this day by losing 91 to 59 against Han Roy, whom he had chosen as his opponent.
