Anyang Jung Kwan Jang snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating Daegu Korea Gas Corporation.
Jung Kwan Jang secured a 77-71 away victory against Korea Gas Corporation in the 2026-2027 KCC Professional Basketball regular season game held at Daegu Gymnasium.
With this win, Jung Kwan Jang ended their three-game skid and moved into third place, while Korea Gas Corporation saw their two-game winning streak halted, dropping them into a tie for fifth place with Suwon KT.
In the first half, Jung Kwan Jang took a 40-34 lead, asserting their dominance in the paint.
Byun Jun-hyung led the momentum by scoring 8 points in the first half.
Unlike Jung Kwan Jang, where foreign players Davon Reed and Rashawn Thomas held firm, Korea Gas Corporation struggled heavily with Keefe Aluma in the first half.
Aluma managed only 3 points and committed 4 turnovers in the first half.
In the third quarter, Korea Gas Corporation fought back as Ra Gun-ah sparked the offense, narrowing the gap to a single point at 48-47.
However, toward the end of the quarter, Jung Kwan Jang extended the lead back to 10 points with consecutive three-pointers from Reed and Thomas, dampening the opponents' momentum.
The flow of the game did not change significantly in the fourth quarter, remaining in Jung Kwan Jang's favor.
With about 2 minutes and 50 seconds remaining, Rhenz Abando delivered an alley-oop dunk off a pass from Byun Jun-hyung.
Trailing 75-71, Korea Gas Corporation missed both free throw attempts by Aluma and failed to score on their subsequent possession.
The score margin held, and after Aluma's three-pointer resulted in an airball with 12 seconds left, Jung Kwan Jang's victory was sealed.
Byun Jun-hyung led the team to victory with a team-high 15 points and 7 assists.
For Korea Gas Corporation, Samuel-san Jose Belangel fought hard with 19 points.
Aluma recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds, but failed to meet expectations in the clutch.
