Manager Park Hang-seo of Kanchanaburi FC in the Thai Thai League 2, reacted angrily to racist taunts from an opposing team's spectator, leading to a heated verbal confrontation.
The incident occurred as Manager Park was leaving the pitch after a 2–2 away draw against Pattaya United yesterday.
According to footage shared on social media, a spectator, presumed to be a white foreigner, repeatedly hurled insults mixed with profanity and the term "Kimchi man" toward Manager Park.
Initially, Manager Park gestured with his finger to his lips, telling the spectator to be quiet. However, unable to contain his anger amid the persistent provocation, he made a fist-pumping motion and challenged the spectator to come down from the stands to face him, nearly resulting in a physical clash.
As the situation escalated, club officials and players restrained the visibly agitated manager and escorted him toward the locker room, avoiding a physical altercation.
According to local media, the spectator also directed mocking comments targeting the height of midfielder John Baggio, a team player from Madagascar.
As the controversy grew, Kanchanaburi FC released an official statement strongly condemning the spectator's racist behavior, stating, "Regardless of origin and skin color, everyone deserves to be respected."
Previously, in September, following a series of refereeing controversies in the Thai Thai League 2, Manager Park launched a scathing critique, stating, "Now I understand why Thai football frequently loses to Vietnam."
