A couple in their 30s in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, is drawing attention after giving birth to twins for two consecutive years.

According to Jecheon City on November 2, Ju Woo-sung and Jin Eun-ah, who reside in Cheongjeon-dong, welcomed their first set of twins, Si-wan and Xion, in February of last year, followed by their second set of twins, Sihyeon and Si-hun, in February of this year. Both pregnancies were naturally conceived.

The probability of naturally conceiving back-to-back sets of twins is extremely rare, estimated at around 1 in 100,000.

Cheongjeon-dong functional organizations presented congratulatory gifts consisting of 8 boxes of diapers and 700,000 won in cash to help with childcare.

Including 106 million won in childbirth subsidies from Jecheon City, the couple will receive a total of 307.48 million won in postpartum care, childbirth, and parenting support benefits until their children reach the age of nine.

Jecheon Mayor Lee Sang-chun stated, "The four children born through the miracle of a 1-in-100,000 chance and their family are a great joy and blessing for the entire city of Jecheon," adding, "We will spare no effort in providing practical support that multi-child families can truly experience."
