Kim Ji-won faced the risk of having her identity exposed.

On the October 31 broadcast of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor X: Mafia in White" (hereinafter "Doctor X"), Gye Su-jeong was depicted in a situation where a medical strike was anticipated due to medical school quota expansions.

On this day, Gye Su-jeong decided to take charge of surgery for a child at the pediatric center, who was left in crisis due to the successive departures of pediatric residents.

In response, Do Yoon-shik looked at Gye Su-jeong, who remained confident, and said, "All doctors have failed before. That's why they break down, look for compensation, go on strike, and leave. The fear of that failure is so great and the consequences are so terrible. Yet how can you talk about failure so easily and say you won't fail, as a doctor?"

Then, Gye Su-jeong drew attention by saying, "Professor Do, do you know what the decisive difference between the two of us is? I do it myself because I don't want to fail, and you don't do it yourself because you don't want to fail. Not failing is because you must not fail."

Meanwhile, Hospital Director Boo Seung-kwon dissuaded Mokryunhwi, the group leading the medical strike, stating, "If patients suffer harm due to the doctors' strike, the strike will not be recognized as a grounds for immunity."

At that moment, news came that a doctor who had entered the operating room had collapsed. With doctors having left the hospital, there was no one available to enter the operating room. At this point, Gye Su-jeong stepped forward once again.

To ensure the pediatric surgery scheduled for 12 PM proceeded without issue, Gye Su-jeong had to finish the operation in just one hour. She performed the surgery using astonishing surgical techniques, and upon seeing this, Do Yoon-shik and Bae Heung-gon intuitively realized that Gye Su-jeong's surgery would not fail, prompting them to head to their own operating rooms.

Thereupon, Do Yoon-shik said to Bae Heung-gon, "Did we fail? Today, Gye Su-jeong doesn't look like a mad dog for surgery for the first time, but rather a Gye Su-jeong who is crazy about saving people," adding, "Did we lose? I feel like things like strikes have become so pathetic."

Hearing this, Bae Heung-gon expressed regret over Ma Seong-gyu, who was trying to leave for the medical strike, saying, "I support and cheer for the strike. But Seong-gyu needs to see that. Seeing things like that helps immensely. It feels like he is missing all the important moments right now."

Boo Seung-kwon, who watched Gye Su-jeong's surgery, opened up to Jang Hee-sook, saying, "They call her Doctor X, though I didn't believe it. But watching today's surgery, I thought it might actually be possible."

He then asked, "Teacher Gye Su-jeong is the same age as our Teacher Ma. But at that age, is it possible to perform at that level of surgical skill while throwing all of your energy into it?" In response, Jang Hee-sook clarified, "Our Teacher Gye is an exceptional genius, but she has also worked very hard. It's disappointing to misunderstand her like that."

However, Boo Seung-kwon's doubts persisted. He ultimately pressed Jang Hee-sook by asking, "Is Gye Su-jeong Doctor X?", cornering her regarding Gye Su-jeong's identity and leaving viewers full of curiosity about how the story will unfold next.
