Samsung's pursuit of a 10-game winning streak to start the season and a new record for the fewest games needed to secure a win against every team in the league was halted by their Seoul rivals, SK.

Facing the Seoul rival Samsung, which achieved the first 9-game opening winning streak in KBL history, SK took control with its signature fast-paced basketball despite the adversity of missing Asian Games gold medalist Daniel due to injury.

Oh Jaehyun shook up the opponent's defense with a fast break after intercepting a pass, and Hicks finished a long pass from Warney with a thrilling dunk, ending the first half with a 16-point lead.

In the middle of the third quarter, their perimeter shooting caught fire as well.

Oh Jaehyun secured an early victory by nailing a perimeter shot and converting an additional free throw for a four-point play.

SK, fueled by Oh Jaehyun's season-high 22 points, extended its winning streak to five games with a resounding 90-76 victory. Meanwhile, Samsung suffered its first defeat of the season, falling short of the milestone 10th consecutive opening win and the record for the fewest games to beat all teams.

Led by ace Albano, who scored 34 points, DB defeated LG to snap a two-game losing skid, while KT topped Sono behind Bass's 34-point performance to claim its second straight win.
