In professional basketball, Samsung's quest for a 10-game winning streak from the season opener and a record for the fewest games to defeat all teams was halted by its Seoul rival, SK.

Facing the Seoul rival Samsung, which achieved the KBL's first-ever 9-game winning streak to start the season, SK seized control with its signature fast-paced basketball despite facing adversity with Asian Games gold medalist DANIELLE sidelined due to an injury.

Oh Jaehyun shook up the opponent's defense with a steal followed by a fast break, and Hicks, receiving a long pass from Warney, slammed home a powerful dunk as SK finished the first half with a 16-point lead.

In the middle of the third quarter, the perimeter shooting caught fire as well.

Oh Jaehyun effectively sealed the victory early by draining a perimeter shot and converting an additional free throw for a four-point play.

SK, fueled by a season-high 22 points from Oh Jaehyun, cruised to a 90-76 landslide victory to extend its winning streak to five games, while Samsung—which had set its sights on a 10th consecutive opening win and a milestone for the fewest games to defeat every team in the league—suffered its first defeat of the season.
