KIA Tigers foreign pitcher Adam Oller, who struggles whenever he pitches in Daegu, was battered once again in Game 5 of the playoffs (best-of-five series).

Oller started the fifth game of the 2026 professional baseball playoff away against the Samsung Lions at Daegu Samsung Lions Park on November 1, throwing 50 pitches over 2 innings while giving up 6 hits, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts with 4 runs allowed before being pulled early.

In the first inning, he gave up a single to left field to leadoff hitter Kim Ji-chan and a walk to Koo Ja-wook, putting runners on first and second with two outs, and then surrendered the opening run on an RBI single to center field by Choi Hyung-woo.

Trailing 0-1 in the bottom of the second inning, he allowed four consecutive hits to Kang Min-ho, Lee Jae-hyun, Kim Ji-chan, and Park Seung-kyu, giving up 3 more runs and falling behind 0-4.

KIA clawed back a run in the top of the third inning to trail 1-4, but pulled Oller in the bottom of the third and brought in Yang Hyeon-jong early.

Oller has suffered from severe struggles in away games in Daegu this season.

On July 28, during a regular-season game against Samsung in Daegu, he had the worst outing of his season, allowing 7 hits (1 home run), 3 walks, and 8 runs over 1 inning. On October 27 in Game 2 of the playoff against Samsung held in Daegu, he gave up 5 hits (1 home run), 1 walk, and 5 runs over 4 and two-thirds innings, taking the loss.

Including today's game, he recorded an ERA of 19.96 across his 3 appearances in Daegu this season.
