Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) stated that it has received intelligence from the U.S. side warning that a terrorist attack is being prepared against the country's capital, Moscow.

According to RIA Novosti, the FSB is known to be taking measures related to the terrorist threat.

Earlier, the U.S. Embassy in Russia said in a statement, "We are aware of credible threats indicating the potential for a large-scale loss of life in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve area in Moscow."

It added, "The U.S. government is consulting with Russian authorities to formulate countermeasures against this."
