The champion of the Eugene Investment & Securities Seoul Open Challenger Tennis Tournament will be decided in a final match between Terence Atmane (ranked 90th, France) and Coleman Wong (ranked 87th, Hong Kong).
Atmane advanced to the final by defeating Billy Harris (ranked 252nd, United Kingdom) 2-0 (6-3, 6-1) in 1 hour and 10 minutes during the sixth-day singles semifinal held today (the 31st) at the center court of the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center.
Atmane is aiming for his second Challenger title in South Korea, following his victory at the Busan Open Challenger in April of last year.
Having secured all four of his career Challenger titles in East Asia (1 in South Korea and 3 in China), Atmane reached a career-high ranking of 41st in April of this year, making him a strong favorite to win the tournament.
Earlier in the day, Wong secured his spot in the final by defeating Omar Jasika (ranked 386th, Australia) 2-0 (6-2, 7-5) in their semifinal match.
Wong has reached the final of this tournament for the second consecutive year.
A victory would mark his first-ever triumph at a Challenger 125 level tournament.
In their head-to-head record, Atmane leads Wong with two wins and one loss.
