An LPG explosion occurred at a home in Jeongan-myeon, Gongju, South Chungcheong Province, at around 7:00 p.m. yesterday (October 30).

The blast left a couple in their 60s who were inside the house with second-degree burns and abrasions, and they were transported to a hospital.

According to fire authorities, the auxiliary kitchen where the explosion took place suffered soot damage, but the incident did not lead to a fire.

Police and fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
