Protests by high school students demanding better educational environments have escalated into nationwide unrest in France, with large-scale demonstrations scheduled again for Halloween on October 31.
Calls encouraging rallies for a "Halloween Revolution" on Saturday, the 31st, have been continuously posted on social media.
Authorities have decided to permit the protests but ban them from being held in city centers where the risk of unrest is high, and prohibited demonstrations that incite revolution.
The government also announced that it will deploy 70,000 police officers and gendarmes nationwide, while mobilizing special forces, armored vehicles, and water cannons to firmly respond to riots and looting.
