Last month, domestic industrial production, consumption, and investment all increased simultaneously for the first time in three months.

According to the Korea National Statistical Office today (the 30th), total industrial production grew by 3.0% in September, marking the largest increase in 15 years and six months.

Strong semiconductor production, combined with the end of automobile strikes and the effect of new vehicle releases, significantly boosted manufacturing output and consumption.

Facility investment also increased by 5.3%.

However, the leading index, which indicates future economic trends, fell by 0.1 points, and retail sales for the third quarter dropped by 1.0%, declining for two consecutive quarters.
