Finally, remarks made by a school principal to a school violence victim are stirring controversy.
This was reported through an online community tip.
According to the report, the victim student suffered an orbital fracture due to school violence last month, and vision in one eye dropped from 1.0 to 0.6.
It was also reported that the student developed tic symptoms as a post-traumatic side effect.
However, the victim's side claims that three out of the five students pointed out as perpetrators are still in the same class as the victim, and no separate isolation measures have been taken.
Because of this, the victim has reportedly been unable to go to school for over a month out of fear of running into the perpetrators again.
The controversy grew larger when the principal's remarks became known.
The victim's side claimed that the principal made remarks to the effect that they should educate the perpetrators well until graduation so they can use them as bodyguards.
Regarding the separation measures, the school reportedly stated that because nothing had been decided by the school violence committee, nothing had been done separately, and that if guardians request separation or other alternatives, actions can be taken through the principal's decision after an agreement.
However, the school has not yet issued a separate official explanation regarding the remarks.
Netizens criticized the school's response, saying they cannot believe an educator would make such remarks.
