In the Major League Baseball World Series, Milwaukee defeated Tampa Bay 4 games to 1, capturing its first championship 57 years after the franchise's founding.

The "lightning fastball show" by Milwaukee ace Mierowowski, the starting pitcher with the fastest pitches in baseball history, shone brightly.

Having recorded the fastest speed in World Series history at 166.6 km/h in Game 1, Mierowowski put on another terrifying high-velocity show in Game 5.

Starting with a top speed of 166 km/h in the 1st inning, he topped 160 km/h 55 times, shutting down the Tampa Bay batters with just 2 hits and no runs through 2 outs in the 6th inning.

Catcher Contreras, who supported Mierowowski's stellar pitching, hit an RBI double down the left-field line in the 6th inning to make it 2-0, and then tagged up from third on a teammate's fly ball to score a crucial insurance run with a diving effort.

Winning 4-1, Milwaukee claimed the World Series title 4 games to 1 for the first time since its founding in 1969.
