The story of a handsome young man selling chicken rice at a Chinese night market has gone viral on local social media, drawing widespread attention.
According to local media outlets such as the Haibao News, crowds of customers have been flocking to a chicken rice stall run by a man born in the 2000s named Wang Zhi at a night market in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.
A consumer who happened to visit the night market said they filmed Wang because they were struck by the sight of him busily cooking at the humble street stall, adding, "This is his raw appearance without any editing filters at all."
Local netizens reacted enthusiastically with comments such as "He has model-like visuals" and "I need to head down to the night market right now to get some rice bowls."
As Wang's appearance went viral on social media, his daily sales—which previously stood at only 3 to 4 bowls—surged to as many as 130 bowls.
The overall sales of the entire night market also increased as a result.
Amid the surging interest, Wang stated, "I want to continue making delicious rice bowls for my customers in the future."
Meanwhile, in South Korea, a carp-shaped pastry (bungeoppang) vendor dubbed "Gwangmyeong Bungeunwoo"—who gained attention for resembling actor Cha Eun-woo—recently drew significant popularity.
With broadcasting stations and YouTubers showing interest, the neighborhood bungeoppang street stall emerged into a local landmark.
