The Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB) have bounced back from the brink of elimination with a dramatic comeback victory.

In Game 4 of the World Series (best-of-seven) held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, the Rays secured a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win after tying the game for the third time in the bottom of the 12th inning, escaping a 3-2 deficit.

With this win, the Rays claimed their first valuable victory after three consecutive losses.

Milwaukee, which was just three outs away from its first championship in 59 years since its founding, was left to swallow a bitter pill.

Game 5 between the two teams will take place tomorrow morning at the same venue.

Cornered with its back against the wall, Tampa Bay struck first.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning with one out and a runner on first, Chandler Simpson ignited the momentum with an RBI double down the right-field line.

After Milwaukee tied the game 1-1 in the top of the 4th with a double by Pratt, Tampa Bay regained a 2-1 lead in the bottom half of the inning following a throwing error by Milwaukee third baseman David Hamilton with one out and a runner on second.

Hamilton fielded Johnny DeLuca's grounder and attempted to tag Tampa Bay baserunner Junior Caminero running from second to third, but failed, and subsequently made a wild throw to first base, giving up a run.

Milwaukee requested a video review, claiming a three-foot rule violation, but the call was not overturned.

Hamilton quickly made up for his mistake in the top of the 5th by hitting a solo home run over the right-field wall, bringing the score back to a 2-2 tie.

After a prolonged lull amid a bullpen battle from both teams, Milwaukee broke the silence in the top of the 12th inning.

Pratt, leading off the inning, pulled an high, inside sweeper from Tampa Bay's seventh pitcher, Ian Seymour, launching a home run over the left-field wall and celebrating.

However, Tampa Bay wrote a dramatic script in the bottom of the 12th by capitalizing on Milwaukee's error.

Milwaukee's replacement third baseman, Joey Ortiz, threw a one-hop ball to first base on a routine grounder hit by leadoff batter Caminero.

Though it was a catchable ball for the first baseman, he failed to secure it properly in his glove, resulting in a throwing error by Ortiz.

Tampa Bay immediately capitalized as Liam Hicks hit a single to left field, setting up a-no-out opportunity with runners on first and third, and DeLuca delivered a clutch RBI single to center field to tie the game 3-3.

Following a single to center by Simpson that loaded the bases with no outs, Ben Williamson slapped a single to right field to become the walk-off hero.
