"Doctor X: Mafia in White" (hereinafter "Doctor X: Mafia in White") is an exhilarating medical noir drama depicting the exploits of Dr. X Gye Soo-jung (played by Kim Ji-won)—the "crazy Gye of the operating room"—who breaks through massive absurdities with genius surgical skills that know neither failure nor compromise.

According to Nielsen Korea, the most recently aired Episode 6 of "Doctor X: Mafia in White" broke its own viewership record once again, recording a peak rating of 21.3%, 19.5% nationwide, and 19.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area. This was not only first place in its time slot, but also an unrivaled No. 1 across all weekly miniseries.

In particular, it drew attention by climbing to fifth place among SBS's all-time highest-rated Friday-Saturday dramas in just six episodes. Based on nationwide ratings, it proved its formidable upward momentum by ranking fifth behind "The Penthouse: War in Life 2" (29.2%), "Agent Kim Reactivated" (23.1%), "The Fiery Priest" (22.0%), and "Taxi Driver 2" (21.0%).

The excitement of the original broadcast carried over to reruns as well. The rerun aired on October 24 recorded a nationwide rating of 6.8%, surpassing the original broadcast figures of most miniseries.

It is also sweeping buzz metrics. In the "Favorite Video Programs of October 2026" survey released by Gallup Korea on October 27, "Doctor X: Mafia in White" ranked first overall with a 9.8% preference rating, and it also maintained the top spot for two consecutive weeks in the "Most Anticipated TV-OTT Buzzworthy Titles of the Week" survey announced on October 26 by research and data consulting firm PMI.

At the center of this craze are the unmatched character appeal of Kim Ji-won as Gye Soo-jung—who prioritizes patients' lives above all and stands up against power—and the satisfying, fast-paced narrative. Added to this are the passionate performances of trusted veteran actors including Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Woo-seok, and Kim Young-min, delivering overwhelming immersion.

Episode 7 of "Doctor X: Mafia in White," which has established itself as the biggest buzzworthy hit of the second half of 2026 by capturing both viewership ratings and buzz, will air on Friday, October 30, at 9:50 PM.
