A man in his 20s serving a life sentence for murder at a prison in Tennessee has escaped and fled in a stolen truck, CNN reported on October 26 (local time).

According to reports, prison staff discovered that inmate Jacob Morley (28) was missing at around 11:30 p.m. on October 25.

Authorities found that Morley escaped by scaling the outer fence of the prison while wearing his prison uniform.

It has not yet been confirmed how he managed to scale the fence.

Footage obtained by investigators captured Morley fleeing in a stolen white Ford truck with Tennessee license plates at around 1:00 a.m. on October 26.

Morley was imprisoned after being sentenced to life for charges including first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, and tampering with evidence.

He was indicted on charges including committing murder in February 2022 and concealing the body beneath the floor of his home.

Morley also engaged in a police chase at the time of his arrest.

Investigative authorities have placed Morley on their most-wanted list and offered a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.
