The key players who won the gold medal in women's basketball at the Asian Games exchanged fiery declarations of war at media day ahead of this weekend's WKBL opening.

Wearing the uniforms of their respective teams, the gold medalists gathered together in front of the championship trophy.

Though they spent three months living and breathing together on the Asian Games national team, they threw unsparing provocations at each other as they have now become rivals.

[Huh Ye-eun / KB Guard: Now as an 'opposing team,' I'll be playing with a bit more fire in my eyes.]

[Jin An / Hana Bank Center: We really feel like family, but since we have to meet as opposing teams again, I'm sorry. 'I can't go easy on you.' I will guard you hard.]

[Kang Lee-seul / Woori Bank Forward: Jin An, you don't have to go easy on me. I'm working hard on 'bulking up' to guard Jin An.]

With defending champion KB, BNK featuring gold medalists Lee So-hee, An Heh-ji, and Choi Yi-sem, and Woori Bank, which acquired Kang Lee-seul, cited as favorites to win, women's basketball will kick off this weekend and embark on a five-month race.
