Superstar Stephen Curry scored 24 points with a 100% field goal percentage, leading the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to a decisive victory over the Denver Nuggets to claim their first win of the season four games into the opening stretch.

Golden State defeated Denver 134-114 in an NBA regular-season away game held in Denver, Colorado, on the 27th (Korean time).

Having fallen into a three-game losing streak to start the season, Golden State avoided the danger of sinking into a four-game opening losing streak for the first time since the 2007-2008 season with this victory.

Returning after resting in the previous game against Phoenix, Curry played a stellar role by pouring in 21 of his points solely in the second half, which began with Golden State leading 60-56.

Combining three 3-pointers and five free throws for a total of 24 points, he displayed peak shooting form by landing all 8 of his attempted field goals.

The performance of rookie Axelle Rendeborg, selected 11th overall in the first round of this season's draft, also shone.

Entering the game averaging 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds, Rendeborg led the team with a brilliant performance of 31 points and 12 rebounds.

Golden State showed off high-sensibility shooting, hitting 22 three-pointers at a 50% success rate (out of 44 attempts) for a team field goal percentage of 54.1%, and overwhelmed Denver 50-36 in the rebound battle.

On the other hand, Denver suffered a listless defeat at home.

Nikola Jokic fought hard with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists, and DeMar DeRozan added 21 points, but their defense completely collapsed as they allowed 74 points in the second half alone.

Jokic was subbed out to the bench with 3 minutes and 33 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, with his team trailing by a massive 21 points.

To make matters worse, Aaron Gordon, who was limited to 7 points in the fourth quarter, collapsed further by receiving a double technical foul and getting ejected.

Denver ultimately failed to overcome the gaps left by the absence of key players due to a string of injuries, including Alpha Diallo (wrist), Cameron Johnson (ankle), Spencer Jones (hamstring), and Julian Strawther (knee).
