The Ministry of the Interior and Safety hosted a special event today (the 27th) at the Government Sejong Convention Center to mark the 30th anniversary of the Civil Service Awards.
Launched in 1997, the Civil Service Awards are co-hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and SBS. The awards have been presented to a total of 430 individuals so far, including local government officials and National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) employees who have quietly resolved civil complaints or contributed to improving administrative policies.
The event was attended by about 100 people, including Vice Minister of the Interior and Safety, the head of the SBS Business Bureau, the CEO of National Credit Union (NCU) / Nonghyup Mutual Finance, along with some 50 past winners such as Park Seung-soon, the winner of the first awards, and city and provincial officials.
During the first part of the event, a video capturing the records and volunteer sites of the past 30 years was screened, followed by a special lecture by singer Sean in the second part.
Ministry of the Interior and Safety Vice Minister Kim Min-jae stated, "We will spare no continuous support so that civil service officials can take pride in their work and provide the best possible service to the public."
