Lotte, having failed to advance to the postseason for nine consecutive years, has appointed former NC Dinos manager Lee Dong-wook as its new skipper and commentator Lee Taek-keun as the new general manager.

Lotte named former NC manager Lee Dong-wook as the new leader on a three-year deal worth a total of 2 billion won, succeeding former manager Kim Tae-hyung whose three-year contract has concluded.

Manager Lee, who led NC to its first-ever integrated championship in 2020, later served as a national team defensive coach, contributing to this year's WBC quarterfinals appearance and the national team's first-ever fifth consecutive Asian Games gold medal.

Manager Lee will hold his inauguration ceremony this weekend and take the first step toward rebuilding the team starting from the closing camp on November 4.
