Professional baseball team KIA secured a comfortable win against Samsung in Game 1 of the playoffs, extending their postseason winning streak to four games. Despite the setback of starting pitcher Nail being ejected for a headshot, Castro led the team to victory with a stellar three-RBI performance.

Amid a sea of red filling the away cheering section, KIA grabbed the early momentum.

Castro stepped up as the solver.

With two outs and a runner on second in the first inning, he drove in the game's opening run with an RBI single to right field. In the third inning, with two outs and a runner on first and KIA leading 2-0, he delivered another crucial blow.

He connected with an inside low cutter from Samsung starting pitcher Fede and smashed a two-run homer over the right-field wall.

After extending their lead to five runs on Han Jun-su's solo shot in the fourth inning, KIA faced a crisis in the fifth when Nail, who had been pitching brilliantly, was ejected for hitting Park Seung-gyu with a pitch to the head.

However, Jung Hae-young, who took the mound with no time to warm up, put out the fire by allowing only inherited runners to score. In the seventh inning, facing another crisis triggered by a fielding error from the shortstop, left fielder Park Jae-hyun calmly caught Park Seung-gyu's hit in front of the fence and followed up with a fantastic diving catch on Kang Minho's extra-base bid to turn it into an out, preventing any further runs.

Ultimately wrapping up the game with a 5-1 score, KIA decorated the first game of the playoffs with a victory and continued their four-game postseason winning streak.

With KIA announcing Oller and Samsung announcing Jurado as their respective starting pitchers, the two teams will clash in Game 2 today (October 27) with no room to yield.
