On X (formerly Twitter), President Lee referred to President Lula as "my special friend and comrade" as he extended his congratulations.
President Lee shared well wishes, saying, "Based on the trust and expectations shown by the Brazilian people, I believe you will continue to play a great role," and added, "I sincerely cheer you on as you move vigorously forward toward the future of Brazil that you have envisioned."
He added, "Remembering the conversations and laughter we shared, I look forward to the day we meet again."
The congratulatory message was also posted alongside Portuguese, the official language of Brazil.
