Champi, the latest-forming typhoon on record, transformed into an extratropical cyclone at around 3 a.m. today.

The typhoon brought heavy rain to the Jeju region this time.

In particular, torrential downpours of up to 420 mm have battered mountainous areas in Jeju from Friday through the present.

Busan also received heavy rainfall nearing 150 mm.

Although the typhoon has dissipated, it has turned into a low-pressure system and will continue to bring rain to various areas.

Looking at current satellite imagery, skies are somewhat cloudy nationwide.

Light rain is currently falling in parts of Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, the southern coast, and Jeju.

The rain will continue until this morning in the greater Seoul metropolitan area and Jeju, and until this afternoon along the coast of the Yeongnam region.

Expected precipitation ranges from a minimum of 5 mm to a maximum of 20 mm.

Winds will blow strongly in the Jeju region until this morning.

Waves will run high, centered around maritime areas.

Vessels navigating or operating at sea need to exercise special caution.

Starting tomorrow afternoon, cold air will move down from the northwest, causing the weather to turn sharply colder.

In particular, Wednesday morning lows in Seoul are forecast to plunge to 2°C (36°F), making it the coldest morning so far this autumn.

Let's take a look at today's daytime temperatures.

Seoul's daytime high will reach 20°C (68°F), and Daegu 22°C (72°F), hovering above average levels.

Rain is forecast for the central-western region on Thursday, and for the Honam and Jeju regions on Friday.
