Kim Bo-mi (NH Nonghyup Card) staged a miraculous comeback in the LPBA, overcoming a 0-3 deficit to win 4-3 and lift her emotional first championship trophy seven years after turning professional.

On October 25, in the final of the 5th tour of the 2026-2027 season, the ZGM NH Nonghyup Card PBA-LPBA Championship, held at the Goyang KINTEX PBA Stadium in Gyeonggi Province, Kim defeated Im Jung-sook (Crown Haitai) with a set score of 4-3 (4-11, 10-11, 4-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-2, 9-5).

Debuting with the launch of the professional billiards league in the 2019-2020 season, Kim claimed her first top spot in 7 years and 4 months across her 63rd tour, becoming the 19th champion in LPBA history.

This victory washed away the disappointment of falling short in her three previous finals, finally succeeding on her fourth attempt.

Adding the 40 million won in prize money and 20,000 ranking points, Kim skyrocketed from 24th to 3rd in the season rankings.

Her start was shaky.

Caught up in Im Jung-sook's veteran gameplay, Kim conceded the first to third sets in a row, putting her on the brink of defeat.

However, by claiming the fourth set 11-9 to signal the start of a counterattack, Kim went on to secure the fifth set (11-8) and sixth set (11-2) consecutively, eventually bringing the match back to level terms.

Even in the fateful seventh set, tied 4-4 from the 4th inning, she calmly accumulated consecutive points to finish the long battle at 9-5.

Im Jung-sook finishes the final with a comeback loss
Im Jung-sook, who was aiming for her 6th career win, was hampered by fatigue and missed out on the title right before her eyes.

Immediately after her victory, Kim wiped away tears, saying, "There were many times I hated billiards so much I wanted to quit, but I am so happy that my training over the years has finally been rewarded."

The "Welcoming Top Ranking" award (carrying a 2 million won prize), given to the player who records the highest match average, went to Han Seul-gi (Hana Card), who recorded 2.273 in the Round of 64.

On October 26, the final day of the tournament, the men's PBA semifinals (Lee Sang-dae vs. David Martinez, Cho Kun-hwi vs. Antonio Montes) and the anticipated final featuring a 100 million won grand prize will take place.
