Authorities are working to extinguish a fire that broke out at a waste disposal facility in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

According to reports, a call was received at around 9:40 a.m. today (October 25) stating that a fire had broken out at a waste processing company in Jijuk-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

The fire department has issued a Level 1 response and is currently engaged in firefighting operations.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Once the fire is put out, the fire department plans to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the scale of the damage.
