Flashbangs and tear gas explode everywhere, and citizens are dragged away by police.

During anti-government protests held in major French cities, 410,000 citizens and 70,000 police officers clashed.

The French government announced that it has detained about 1,000 protestors.

[Laurent Nunez / French Minister of the Interior: Law enforcement forces once again faced a very high level of violence and had to deal with a constant barrage of objects and weapons being thrown at them. The number of detainees has reached 1,000, and this number is expected to increase significantly....]

Previously, the French government announced a complete ban on protests other than those by authorized labor unions, and multiple regions also issued independent bans on demonstrations.

In Paris, protest organizers filed a petition with a court to lift the ban on demonstrations, but it was dismissed, prompting them to relocate the protest site to a government-approved location.

Due to this impact, although turnout decreased somewhat compared to the large-scale protest on October 17, participants raised their voices in criticism, arguing that the government is neglecting high inflation while failing to invest in essential public sectors such as education and healthcare.

Amid security concerns, subway stations across downtown Paris were closed, and major museums such as the Louvre and the Orsay Museum were closed for the day today (October 25).

The Yellow Vest movement, one of the groups that organized the protests, has announced additional demonstrations for October 31.

Meanwhile, the protests are spreading to various parts of Europe.

In Spain, Italy, Albania, and Belgium, large numbers of citizens also took to the streets today demanding price stability and improved educational conditions, clashing with police.
