North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was confirmed to have made a surprise visit to China today (October 24).

Kim is reported to have entered China via the New Yalu River Bridge, which connects Dandong with Sinuiju in North Korea's North Pyongan Province.

A government official said, "Kim crossed the New Yalu River Bridge aboard his special train and headed to Dandong."

Tomorrow marks the 76th anniversary of China's intervention in the Korean War to aid North Korea, and Kim appears to have visited China on the occasion of related events.
