The postseason series between the Kia Tigers and the Samsung Lions is also drawing attention as a "color war" between the two teams. Facing the KIA fans who painted the wild card or semi-playoff games in a sea of red, Samsung announced it will hand out 40,000 sky-blue raincoats to its fans.
Reporter Bae Jeonghun has the story.

During the first game of the semi-playoffs, Kim Do-young made a request to KIA fans who showed up wearing various colored jerseys, including white, red, and black.
[Kim Do-young / KIA (October 17): I want to say thank you so much for the incredible support today and for coming out in such large numbers again. But I would really appreciate it if you could stick to the dress code.]
Following Kim Do-young's remark, the color of the stands changed dramatically.
As Kim requested, KIA fans unified in red clothing waved towels mixed with red and yellow handed out by the club, delivering passionate cheers.
[Shin Dong-seok / KIA Fan: I think KIA fans are truly amazing. Especially in fall baseball like this, the overwhelming excitement seems to double.]
Samsung players, who received enthusiastic "blue cheering" from home fans at Lions Park throughout the regular season, did not make a separate request to their fans.
[Koo Ja-wook / Samsung Outfielder: Well, I don't think it's quite right to copy things like this, so I want to give our fans their freedom.]
Instead, the Samsung club came up with a countermeasure.
They decided to distribute 40,000 sky-blue raincoats carrying the meaning of soaring high into the sky to fans visiting for Games 1 and 2 held at home.
The plan is to recreate the orange raincoat cheering previously showcased by the Hanwha Eagles last year at Lions Park.
The upcoming playoff matchup between traditional powerhouse clubs that share 20 Korean Series titles is adding extra excitement through this "color war" between the two teams.
