The establishment project for the Semiconductor Consumables Demonstration Center, a core foundation of the Gangwon-style semiconductor cluster, has passed the central government's local government financial investment review.

In addition, with the project to build the Future Car Semiconductor Reliability Verification Center also passing the review, the region has successfully established a "four-type testbed lineup," joining the Korea Semiconductor Academy and the Medical AI Semiconductor Specialist Training Center.

The Semiconductor Consumables Demonstration Center, which serves as the most critical component, will be injected with a total budget of 42.7 billion won, including 15 billion won in government funds.

Scheduled to be built in the Buron Industrial Complex in Wonju by 2028, the semiconductor material and component localization demonstration center will play a pivotal role in attracting semiconductor companies in the future.
